Returns & Exchanges: 

  • All sales are final.
  • Items may show signs of minor wear, this is not considered a product fault but merely the result of the preloved nature of the pieces.
  • Products must have been purchased via our Artefact Newcastle store or online at refinerybyartefact.com 
  • If an item is faulty we would love to repair it for you, if this can’t be done we will exchange, refund or issue a store credit of the purchase price upon our discretion.
  • We do not offer exchanges or refunds on change of mind on Refinery products (unless faulty).
  • We do not accept order cancellations.
  • Artefact is not responsible for any damages or loss of product on Refinery returns. Returns remain the responsibility of the customer until received into the Artefact studio.

Holds and Laybys
We do not offer holds or laybys on Refinery pieces. We accept cash, card, PayPal or Afterpay. We do not accept Artefact or Made by a. gift cards, or store credit, for Refinery products.

Product faults:
Due to Refinery adornments being repurposed pieces that have had a previous history, this may result in slight evidence of wear and tear. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us at info@artefact-artefact.com This will not be considered a product fault and the product will not be accepted as a faulty return on this basis. Refinery 925 silver products are not considered faulty if they oxidise due to a customer’s skin pH or other external factors such as bathing in chlorinated or chemically treated pools, saunas or hot spas, lotions and perfumes or exposing the jewellery to other chemicals. 


  • Refinery pieces are sold as is and may show signs of minor wear due to the preloved nature of the products. 
  • Customisations on Refinery pieces can be offered on a case by case basis depending on the intricacy of the piece.
  • Artefact does not offer resizing on Refinery rings.
  • Artefact is not responsible for any adjustments, alterations or resizing done outside of our studio. Once your Refinery piece leaves our Bull St studio, we are not liable for any potential damage or faults due to external parties.

Your Refinery product comes with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by consumer law. 

  • Your Refinery product comes with a 90 day warranty period. Please contact info@artefact-artefact.com for assessment and repair at no charge. If your items are deemed irreparable you will be issued a store credit or refund.
  • Any issues outside of this 90 day warranty period please contact us at info@artefact-artefact.com
